You may wonder how it came that a family of four decided to 4×4 around Southern Africa for 6 months. Well, it all started when our first son, Oliver, was born. We talked about our personal love of Africa and pondered Oliver’s perfect age to experience this travel. Ten. That was our decision. So between then and now we have worked to make the dream a reality. We have also had Sophie who isn’t ten. She will turn five two weeks after we arrive in Africa.

But it started earlier than that for both of us. Graeme spent two years in Tanzania when he was five and six. His love for the country began way back then. Nicki visited Africa twenty years ago and always wanted to return. We both feel Africa is a very special place, not only for the animals but for its culture and spirituality.

So it is here our journey begins…
